Imperial March played by a Disk Drive?

This is badass. I am not a Star Wars fan at all but wow. According to Videosift it’s a regular disk drive modified with some type of motor?

I wonder if James Houston’s remix of Radiohead’s Nude was inspired by this…

Classic.

I feel kinda bad for that last Youtube post, so I dug up this old clip I found a couple of years ago featuring Ahmad and Juice on the world-famous Wake Up Show circa 1997.

If Ahmad’s voice sounds familiar, that’s because you’ve probably heard his hit single “Back in the Day” which dropped in 1994 when he was only 18. From there, he went on to start a hip hop/rock group with his wife, Tena, called 4th Avenue Jones. MC Juice’s battle reputation, of course, needs no introduction.

An afternoon at Reed.

Magazine archives.

For those of you who’ve been following the NHTVSN journey since day one, you’ll probably remember that our inaugural season was actually accompanied by a 4-part video magazine featuring short segments with some of our industry friends whose personality and work we were excited to highlight. We’ve decided to make them available for viewing once again for those who didn’t catch them the last time around. Part of the charm in revisiting old work is that situations have almost certainly changed for these individuals, but the moments in time that we’ve preserved are here to stay as a testament to where they were at in that particular juncture of their careers and lives.

Our first archive segment was filmed with Eddie Hahm of Fast Eddies and (Commune) - you can watch the video below.

Update: All of the segments from Episode 1 are now available for viewing. Enjoy…

Good looks to our friend Cathy at Sub-Urb, who’s been hard at work ensuring that NHTVSN gets proper shine in some of Hong Hong’s most prominent street fashion magazines. Here are some scans she emailed us from recent issues of Monday and East Touch:
